Merin Thomas McDonald (born June 15, 1985), also known by his stage name KonfleX (pronounced "Con-flex"), is an american electro-house music producer, and performer based in Louisville, Kentucky. KonfleX produces a variety of styles within the house genre, or other forms of electronic dance music. He began making music in 2005 as the vocalist for a local four-piece death metal band named Bathed in Vomit. After two years, he decided to leave the band due to creative differences. In 2010, he began a solo project, recording under the name KonfleX. His first album, Technicolor Demon Invasion, was released August 15, 2012, which features thirteen tracks. He is currently working on a second album. His influences include other artists within the genre, such as Skrillex, Deadmau5, Rusko, Datsik, Distance, Skream, Borgore, Mary Anne Hobbs and many more.
