With a twisted blend of blues-driven electro rock and electronica-fueled soundscapes, guitarist Jake Paland can certainly not be categorized easily, but rather has managed to create his very own, distinctive style among today's guitar players. Originating from Germany, Paland grew up in Hanover before moving to Los Angeles,CA., where he studied and graduated from the prestigious G.I.T. at Musicians Institute and at the same time worked as a session guitarist, recording and playing with various LA based bands. Recruited by rock band Victory, Jake played guitars on their seventh studio album 'Voiceprint', which reached top100 positions in several countries, and the release's accompanying worldtour. After remaining commitments and with gained attention from different producers he continued focusing on session work, commuting between LA, Hanover and London, where he has resided for the most part of recent years. As a session guitarist, Paland has played on over thirty albums and worked with a diverse array of artists and producers such as Tommy Newton, Jimmy Somerville, Timo Maas, Ueberschall Sample Service, Harry K. (Apollo 440) and Felix Wolter to name but a few.
