(Sacramento, California U.S.A. - 1978) He studied electric guitar with Nahum Velazquez and with Humberto Medina from 1993 to 1995.
In 1995 he started his Master’s Degree in composition at the Escuela Superior de Música (Music Conservatory) getting his degree in 2003 having been a student with Maestro Jorge Torres (composing and orchestration), Carole Chargeron (Electro-Acoustics), Raul Herrera (piano) and Mario Lavista (analysis), among others.
In 2003 he received the scholarship from the “Young Composers Programme “2003-2004” awarded by the Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes (National Fund for Culture and Art) in the Music Composition specialty.
In 2004 he received the “Excellency in Arts and Social Sciences Scholarship” by the French Embassy in Mexico to obtain his Masters Degree in “Computer Assisted Composition” at the Paris University. His teachers were Jose Manuel Lopez (composition), Horacio Vaggione (research and epistemology for creating music software), Anne Sedes (MAX/MSP programming), Mario Mary (synthesis and sound transformation), Benoit Courribet (programming in Jitter), Antonia Soulez (music and philosophy) and Ivanka Stoianova (XX Century Music Analysis).
The same year he was one of the five composers invited by Denys Bouliane from the National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada to the “2004 Young Composers Programme”.
In 2004 he was also selected to attend to the composition residency in the Pedagogy Department at the Institute for Acoustic Musical Investigation (IRCAM).
In 2005 he obtained the Maitrisse degree and, in 2006 Masters’ in the University of Paris VIII, with the highest acknowledgments in both occasions.
In 2007 he joined the work team in CMMAS (www.cmmas.org) performing activities such as artistic, pedagogic, research, production and promotion of contemporary music.
In 2009 he was commissioned by the Electro-Acoustic Institute of Music in Bourges (IMEB).
His music consists of instrumental works, orchestral and electro-acoustic pieces, works for film, dance and theatre performed in several countries such as Mexico; Canada, Cuba, Chile, Hungary, Spain United States of America, Greece, France and Germany.
