Homemade Empire is the moniker of musician Bart de Kroon from Utrecht, The Netherlands, who has a history in Utrecht-based indie bands such as We vs. Death and Mercy Giants. As Homemade Empire he creates music that ranges from quiet indie folk to heavy psychedelic drones, using an array of instruments : guitars, piano, bandoneon, synth, organ, drums, banjo and a shaky voice. The compositions might accumulate to a fever dream, but never without the knowledge that there's always a friend next to your bed who will take care of you, wipe your head and feed you soup.
