Designer is the nom-de-plume of Casey Rice, formerly mixer to the stars of the post-rock/jazz crossover explosion around Chicago in the nineteen-nineties, now mixer, engineer and producer of note in Melbourne, Australia. Rice's work under the Designer moniker encompasses electronics-based production, remixes and the odd performance exploring synthesis. He's released work on Duophonic Super 45s and remixed artists from Isotope 217 to Derrick Carter. Designer is also Zologo musician from Ghana’s Upper East who sings in Frafra (the main language of the region). He is known for recording with Francis Ayamga of Top Link Studio. Designer is also a band which seems to be tagged 'hardcore' and have photos including tattoos and beanies on stage.
