From the moment Wasco entered the dwindling local music scene of the San Francisco peninsula, a stir of electricity began to grow. Created by the determined Adam Richardson in a garage with some friends, every song by Wasco displays his genius when it comes to musical arrangement. The power of the bass is no match for the power Jon "Demented" Pacheco holds on stage, as every performance depicts his enthusiasm and honest love for music. Eventually it came to the point when the group of friends with an honest love for making music needed a singer to vocally express the raw emotion vivid in every instrumental piece. After many tiresome auditions, Jon Webber actually found the band that was in need, and immediately auditioned. His soft, honest vocals combined with his passionate emotion apparent in every word instantaneously won the band over, and Wasco was formed.
Wasco has played in a multitude of venues, creating a large local following, and fully planned, booked, and paid for their own tour of the West Coast, breaking the chains of the bay area and rocking out in Northern and Southern California, Oregon, Utah, Nevada, and came home to an amazing welcome-home show from their loyal fans. Wasco fought through problems with past members, yet determined as they were to produce real music for real people, they found a group they could work with. Wasco now practices in studio as all members work to pay for a space to play, and vocalist Jon Webber, who attends the University of California in Davis, commutes regularly to write and play with his friends. Wasco's live show is truly amazing, with fun antics and a personable feel between the artists and the audience. What sets them apart is the obvious fact that these boys haven't forgotten why they joined together in the beginning: for a group of friends to rock to some good music. Their theory is that a story needs to be told, but it can only be truly expressed with the fusion of passionate lyrics, vocals, and music. With songs ranging from the fun, energetic "Famous" and the honest sentiment of "HopeFaithLove" to the raw, passionately intense "Save It" and the anthematic "Wasted," each standing strong as individual singles and pieces of a larger unit, their self-produced EP, "Your Picture on the Wall," Wasco's sound is unclassifiable yet undeniably powerful.
