Point Hollow was a post-hardcore band from Fairfax, Virginia, United States. Bio from their Myspace in 2005: Based out of Fairfax VA, Point Hollow bridges the gap between post hardcore and rock. This quintet consisting of Travis Lapolla (Vox), Niku Azam (guitar/vox), Eric Hall (guitar), Eric Dzik (bass), and Mark Wood (drums) have spent the past year writing music and constantly playing shows, while juggling high school and the band; their true passion. Within three weeks of forming, pH recorded a four song demo which built a consistent, loyal following in the greater DC/Metropolitan area. Approaching all aspects of being in a band with a DIY (do it yourself) attitude, pH has done everything from screening their own merchandise, to booking their own shows, in return giving them enough money to self fund the recording, pressing, and release of their debut EP entitled "Look At What You've Become"; recorded at Matt Squires studio (Thrice, Northstar, TREOS) and Valencia Recordings (Over It, Don't Look Down) in College Park, MD with producer Paul Leavitt. With this release, pH has already gained over 15,000 independent plays on PureVolume, an even greater following, and the chance to play with national acts such as The Starting Line, The Early November, Hidden In Plain View, The Receiving End Of Sirens, My American Heart, Acceptance, Motion City Soundtrack, Madison, Gatsby's American Dream, and Rufio. In the summer of 2005, Point Hollow is hoping to book and self fund a successful 18 day tour, play on Warped Tour, and gain a massive following all over the east coast.
