If I Die First is a post-hardcore band formed in April 2020 in Los Angeles, California by several members in the emo rap and post-hardcore/metalcore communities.
The original lineup consisted of vocalist Lil Lotus, vocalist/keyboardist Zubin, guitarist/vocalist Braden (aka Nedarb), guitarist/vocalist Travis Richter (From First to Last, ex-The Human Abstract), bassist Nolan Nunes (aka Rake; Ghostemane), and drummer Cayle Sain (Ghostemane, Twitching Tongues). They released their debut EP My Poison Arms on July 10, 2020.
By the end of October 2020, it was made apparent that Rake and Sain were no longer in the band, and that Derek Bloom, Richter's bandmate in From First to Last, has joined as their new drummer.
