Darmstadt Pharmacy was formed in 1998 by San Francisco musicians Ure Thrall (Asianova) and Ferrara Brain Pan (Forms of Things Unknown). A single limited edition CD-R was released in 1999, entitled Ether. Though no longer officially active as a duo, Ure and Ferrara continue to work together. Ferrara has appeared on several of Ure Thrall’s recent releases, and the two (joined by fellow SF Bay Area musician and DJ Mr Hate) are currently collaborating on a new dark ambient trio project called Death Of The West, recording new material with planned live performances in Summer 2008.
