World Wrestling Entertainment, LLC. (WWE) is a publicly-traded, privately-controlled integrated media (focusing in television, Internet, and live events) and sports entertainment company dealing primarily in professional wrestling, with major revenue sources also coming from film, music, product licensing, and direct product sales. The vast majority of music used at WWE events is written and recorded by artists either working for WWE directly (such as Jimmy Hart, Jim Johnston, CFO$, and most recently, def rebel), which is released to the public under the WWE name. Occasionally, other artists collaborate with WWE and allow their music to be used this way.
