The members came together after a few of their former bands fell apart, leaving them all band-less for a short period of time. The beautiful thing about Work To Win is the band is truly 5 individuals creating something unique. Jim Lorino (lead vox) has a deep love for extremely melodic pop music and harmonies galore, citing bands such as Weezer and The Beatles as his favorites. Jon Salamak (guitar/vox) has a soft spot for airy 90's alt-rock such as Dave Matthews Band and Matchbox Twenty, but also has an extreme love for broadway musicals, which may come across in his vocal styling. Kate Getley (piano/vox) has been cited saying she desires to be Amy Lee from Evanescence, and also Lady Gaga, which both may come across in her playing. Kabelly (bass/vox) digs fast, energetic punk rock such as Green Day and Alkaline Trio, as well as many obscure indie bands.
