Well Hung Heart is the brand new project from Greta Valenti (Fuji Minx) and Robin Davey (The Bastard Fairies, The Hoax). Greta Valenti’s pint size frame certainly belies the strength and power of her vocal delivery. Mixing simmering whispers with belting choruses, her veracious vocals and stinging lyrics are refreshingly diverse. Her partner in crime is an Englishman named Robin Davey. He is a multi-instrumentalist, old school guitar slinger, and the youngest inductee into the British Blues Hall of Fame. He has performed and recorded with Mick Jagger, Joss Stone, Dave Stewart, Katy Perry and Buddy Guy. While his blues roots certainly shine through, the music of Well Hung Heart is a strange brew of dirty riffs, grungy pop, and sexy rhymes. Live, the band is a pulsing, stripped down, and always essential unit. Davey takes on simultaneous guitar and bass duties - a self proclaimed narcissistist. Valenti sings, raps and adds a plethora of instrumental dabbling. The resulting sound can be both delicately intense and fiercely raw. Drummer Scott Miracle (Beth Hart, The Davey Brothers) completes the line up. Well Hung Heart offers a chance for the pair to combine their eclectic and varied influences with reckless abandon. The swaggering chug of “Bulls**t” shows the bands zestful ability to rock, mixing hints of Zeppelin and Rage with a touch of bluesy cool. “This Is Not Love” is a groove laden swim through delicate hooks and infectious riffing. Throughout, the band convey a playful mix of light lights, and dark dark’s, always encapsulating the spirit of Rock and Roll. In 2010 the band secured a viral hit with their debut single, The Music Made Me Do It http://vimeo.com/12772208. The video received over 12000 views in 3 days, prompting the censors at Youtube to ban it due to its anti-Pope imagery. In 2011 the band started releasing exclusive rehearsal videos and recordings via their website and Youtube channel.
