Consisting of Don Kazek and A La Fu, We Yo Nee have been together sharing views, ideas and music for years and thus far have been active individually in their chosen fields...heres the lowdown. DON KAZEK Originally from Polska but born in a castle in Stirling, the Don studied Classical and Jazz guitar from the age of eight, forced to study formal composition and orchestration by his mad opera singing grandmother at ten. After escaping the clutches of his Grandmother, who felt he should be a classical concert guitarist, he was side tracked into electrical engineering where he specialized in Acoustics and Psycho-acoustics. Finally he returned to his first love, the study of music, he taught guitar for a number of years and is felt by some to be responsible for the Nu-Metal and Retro Glam Rock scene after teaching hundreds of disciples the secret of the 5th chord, of course he denies all responsibility. Eventually he moved on to provide underscore for numerous short features and animation projects. He can now be found co writing PHd papers on Music Recognition via Artificial Intelligence and Neural Networks as well as teaching a part-time course on Auto Tune and its impact on modern music. (Or should that be the decline in modern music)...He is currently working on his first album proper under the We Yo Nee banner... A LA FU …It all started by what he calls, ‘the kiss of death'. Shortly after his mother gave birth to her first and only son, they paid an early visit to friends and family in the U.S. On only the second day and carrying her new born pride and joy, she found herself outside the favourite hotel of a one Elvis Aron Presley, along with his many friends and admirers in line to catch a glimpse of their hero. To stumble upon such an event was beyond real but when ‘the King' finally makes an appearance and within minutes reaches over and kisses the forehead of the newly born baby, the proud mother is beside herself and among others she believes that it is this that explains why her son has followed a path through music and entertainment. A'la Fu however disagrees, ‘my mother gets very excited about this particular incident; she thinks it's very poignant but seriously, if you look at when that episode took place, at the time Elvis was struggling…now that's what I call poignant. I'm great at struggling, besides at times no one even notices I've entered the building never mind leaving it…' Read more on Last.fm.
