Vortechtral (Kai Wiggins – Portsmouth - UK) has been producing and performing live electronic music from ambient to techno, through his aliases, Vortechtral, Vortechtral AM, and Benni Blanco since early 1998. The Vortechtral sound is a big room fusion of bass line driven techno, electro and pumping house influences, combining to create a highly infectious and musical style. Releases and remixes have gone out on labels across the world, such as Audionautica, Primate / Endangered Species, Intravenous Cuts, Teggno alongside his own labels Techment Records, Techtonic, and In Deep Recordings, and seen support from DJs across the global dance scene including, Cave, Olivier Giacomotto, Wehbba, Ian Void, DJ Preach, Marco G, Pedro Delgardo, Gray, John Acquaviva, Axel Karakasis, DJ Misjah, Martyn Hare, Christian Fischer, and many others... Alongside numerous web cast and radio plays, chart entries, tracks being featured in soundtracks for both the film and game industry, and a constantly busy release and remix schedule ahead, the future looks very bright for this UK producer. The Vortechtral AM sound pushes more into the territory Kai has worked with for years, offering an output on his In Deep label, for more downtempo and jazz influenced material, spanning a massive blend of influences from The Orb, Laurent Garnier, The Chemical Brothers, FSOL, Aphex Twin, Orbital, Kevin Yost, to name a few.
