Viva Suecia is an indie rock band from Murcia, Spain, formed in 2014. The group consists of Rafa Val, Alberto Cantúa, Jess Fabric, and Fernando Campillo. They have established themselves as a prominent name in the Spanish indie music scene, known for their powerful sound and emotionally charged lyrics. Their debut album, La fuerza mayor (2016), garnered critical and public attention. This was followed by Otros principios fundamentales (2017), which solidified their position in the music world and earned them a Premios Ondas award. Their success continued with El milagro (2019) and El amor de la clase que sea (2022), which became a major hit and led to sold-out shows in large venues. In 2024, the band released several singles, including "La orilla" and "Alegría de vivir," which served as precursors to their upcoming work. The band is set to release their fifth studio album, Hecho en tiempos de paz, on October 10, 2025. This album will feature previously released singles like "Dolor y gloria," "Deja encendida una luz," "Sangre" (with Siloé), and "Querer." The release will be supported by a major tour, including two shows at the Movistar Arena in Madrid in late 2025 and early 2026. Viva Suecia continues to be a featured act at Spain's top festivals, where their live performances have earned them a dedicated following.
