Villana Santiago Pacheco (born March 27, 1995), better known as Villano Antillano is a Puerto Rican singer and rapper.
In 2022, she rose to worldwide fame after releasing her collaboration "Villano Antillano: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 51" with Argentine producer Bizarrap, which managed to position itself as eleventh on the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 and as twelfth on the Billboard Spain Hot 100. She was the first transgender and non-binary artist to enter Spotify's Top 50: Global.
She was born in the Puerto Rican city of Bayamón on March 27, 1995. Since she was little, she had an interest in music and her first musical references were the music that used to be listened to at home, where she highlights Rubén Blades and Gustavo Cerati.
Her musical career began in 2019 with the release of her EP Tiranía, where she addresses issues such as prejudices and stereotypes towards trans and LGBT people. Since then, Villana has regularly published music, collaborating with artists from the Latin American music scene such as Young Miko or Paopao.
Villana’s lyrics are loaded with messages against the machismo and homophobia present in urban music. In December 2022 she released her debut album La sustancia X. Two years later she followed up with her second album, Miss Misogyny. Read more on Last.fm.
