There are multiple bands that go by the name Velvet Elvis:
1. Velvet Elvis, like a fiery phoenix rising from the ashes, is the triumphant result of dead bands coming back to life in a new form. Originally comprised of Brandon Henahan (lead guitar) Luke Crozier (bass) and T-Bo (drums), the band transformed from dirty rift-driven stoner rock to a more heavy psychedelic feel with the 2010 addition of Randall Coon on guitar and vocals, and then Karrah Teague, vocals. The band continues to evolve, retiring T-Bo as the drummer and taking on Scott Donaldson in 2011. With heavy, hard-hitting riffs and mind-blowing psychedelic wailing vocals, Velvet Elvis is sure to Blow your Mind into Outer Space. Dig it.-Velvet Elvis
2. Velvet Elvis was an alt-country, indie-pop band that formed in Lexington, Kentucky in 1984. The group originally consisted of Dan Trisko (guitar, vocals), John Clark (bass, vocals), Sherri McGee (drums, vocals) and Doug Carman (keyboards, guitar, vocals). Around 1986 Scott Stoess (bass, vocals) and Jeff Yurkowski (keyboards, guitar, vocals) replaced Clark and Carman and released two self-produced albums with the band as well as one for Enigma Records that was produced by Mitch Easter.
In 1990 Jeff T Lyman replaced founding drummer Sherri McGee, and Arte Bratton replaced Jeff Yurkowski. The last incarnation of the band split in 1991 Read more on Last.fm.
