There are more than one artist called Uzu: 1) UZU (أوزو): UZU is a deathrock / hardcore, arabic and goth punk from Montreal. The project has been alive at least from 2022, with the release of their self titled album (A World Divided, Symphony of Destruction). The band has members from Algeria, Colombia, and Quebec who also play in other bands such as Demokhratia, Bosque Rojo or Ultra Razzia. UZU’s sound mixes elements of post-punk with dark, mid-tempo, melodic punk with an incisive vibe a-la Siekiera! Their dramatic lyrics, sung in Arabic, are poetic and personal, yet they contain profound political messages if you read between the lines.
