Trolleycat is an experimental underground rap artist from Ecuador who began releasing music in early 2020. He produces most of his tracks himself, which range from classic, sample-heavy hip-hop to more experimental and electronic sounds. Trolleycat is also a digital artist, creating his own cover art and music videos. Early on, Trolleycat portrayed himself as an angelic figure with black, messy hair. He has cited his main inspirations as JPEGMAFIA, Tyler, the Creator, Joji, Kanye West, and Japanese designer Takashi Murakami. While his music is deep-rooted in a digicore style, his recent works have drawn more influence from the rage scene, with tracks that are faster and more distorted.
