Torrey Canyon were a very short lived 'progressive emo' instrumental 3 piece featuring Glenn Bowen - ex Crossfire, Manrae, Half Seas Over, Ann Arbor (drums) - Stephen Short (nee Vickers) - ex Half Seas Over (bass) & Philip Welding - ex Schema, Manrae & post Wolves! (Of Greece), Lords (guitar) Although the band never made it further than the rehearsal room, their impact was non existent & they didn't play one single live show. They did however split up after 6 short months of rehearsing inbetween other band commitments. They didn't release any records & won't be featuring on MTV's Headbangers Ball in the near future They did however take their name from the stricken oil tanker <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Torrey+Canyon">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
