Tokyo Bloodworm's major style influences include traditional middle eastern and japanese music, folk and minimal electronic music. The musicians also utilize both unusual timing and space to create a sound that is original. Using these elements as a back drop, a sound has been created that is not only warm and organic, but one that is also dark and refined. This combination of moods exposes the listener to washes of guitars, floating melodies and heavy tribal rhythms. In contrast there are also moments free of sound except for the slightest twinge of handmade white noise and distant strings. They are dedicated to creating analog soundscapes, seamlessly combined with hauntingly chaotic electronics, which are filled with beauty and a pulse. Tokyo Bloodworm is currently working on a side project with the artist Brael. It is scheduled for release in fall 2007. Also, The first addition to Lost Tribe Sound's catalog has been released.
