Biography
Thunder in the Valley were a Twin Cities, MN USA-based rock group that crafted songs primarily in a genre that could only be described as "ragtime rock." Imagine a rowdy saloon from an old wild west movie mashed up with some good ol' garage rock - that was Thunder in the Valley. After releasing an album and two EPs, the band called it quits via their Myspace page on New Year's Day, 2008. Their lead singer and drummer both relocated to California. The other former members of Thunder in the Valley have formed a new band called, Leisure Birds. In a surprise move, former Thunder in the Valley guitarist, Nick Ryan released the band's unreleased second album, "Aloha" for free online in January, 2009 - exactly one year after the band broke up. That link still works as of 4.2024! "Aloha" repeats all five songs found on their EP, "Where Oh Where Oh Where," but does include nine previously unreleased tracks. Read more on Last.fm.
