The Zoo Incident formed in 2009 when Alex and Andrea were in high school. They took a trip to California that year as friends, ate magic mushrooms, fell in love, and began making music. The Zoo Incident has been making music ever since. Today The Zoo Incident also consists of Leroy (bass and synth), and Zane (guitar). Blake the Owl Boy is the feathery dancing machine that can be found on stage with the band to create a fun psychedelic visual experience. The Zoo Incident’s Second album “Lovely” was released March 14, 2013 on River Jones Music Label and tells the tale of The Zoo Incident’s formation.
