Formed in May of 2005, The Rekoning is made up of 3 friends who love to sing from the heart and have some fun doing it. With a spirit filled message, the boys have been playing non-stop in cities across the country gaining a reputation for their high energy level shows. Skratch Magazine says, “They are a breath of fresh air that punk rock needs”. They have shared the stage with great bands over the years such as: The Business, U.S. Bombs, XLooking ForwardX, Showbread, Disciple, Hit The Deck, Flatfoot 56, The Remnants, Headnoise, The Breifs, The Meteors, Throw Rag, The Generators, Street Dogs, The Havoc, Murphy’s Law, Born to Lose, and many others. In the fall of 2005, Standfast Records released “Out of the Void”, a 6 song E.P. By the winter of 2006, the boys had sold over 1,000 copies due to a non-stop show schedule and multiple tours. The Rekoning hails from Riverside California blasting out songs with raw energy, true passion and melodic hooks that stay true to good-ol-fashioned Punk Rock n’ Roll. Their songs discuss faith, family friendship and just about anything else that will get your fist pumping. The Rekoning’s full-bodied, explosive music is inspired by the desire to reach out to anyone willing to listen just as this 3-piece band experienced.
