The PCP Principle is a Rhythmic Noise / Industrial project started in 2004 by R Challenger with the intention of combining many influences together. Taking the harsh, noisy sound of industrial, the pounding wall of beats from extreme metal and the emotion and atmosphere of modern classical and ambient music. After many years experimenting and playing small gigs, The PCP Principle signed to Hands Productions (Winterkalte, Ah Cama Sotz, Mononoaware, MS Gentur) in 2008, playing the Form of Hands Festival in 2009, along side the release of "Electronic Violence Phenomena" - the first album. The album received great praise for its different approach, use of melody and vast soundscapes, as well as its measured and original production. Work on album number 2 began almost immediately, with a more aggressive, rough industrial sounds as well as an even more epic palette of huge string sections, piano and spoken word pieces thrown into the mix. The end result was 2010's "Rhythmus Ex Heretica " - A bolder, heavier album than the first with an increased emphasis on the use of string sections, vocal samples as well as the trademark kick drum patterns. The album secured a place on the Werk II stage at Wave Gothik Treffen alongside Flint Glass, This Morn Omina, Modulate, MS Gentur amongst others, playing to a packed venue. Since that time, The PCP Principle has remained largely dormant, in terms of releases and live appearances, appearing in 2013 to support The Gothcicles on a jaunt around the UK at their Sheffield date, alongside Cyferdine. The 3rd album from The PCP Principle is expected to land in 2013, after numerous previews and works in progress have been posted on Soundcloud, as well as played live <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/The+PCP+Principle">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
