The Nova Express was created in the end of 2001 in Toulouse (France) by Sébastien Duclos (guitar, vocals) and Joel Vionnet (guitar, vocals), Matthieu Larroque (drums) and Vincent Cuellar (bass guitar) joined the band shortly after and by the beginning of 2002 the band had already started to play concerts.
A year after, the band recorded its debut ep, which features four songs, two written by Joel ("I Won Plehdeen" & "Bones & Silence") and two written by Sébastien ("Unsolved Death" & "Sherilyn"). The two songwriters share common influences and this duality reinforces the band as it broadens its musical landscape without ever losing cohesion. The ep shows a dark band, proud to wave the indie flag, playing an urgent, poisonous music.
After more than twenty shows the band has opened for Interpol (USA), Calla (USA), British Sea Power (UK) Soledad Brothers (USA), B. Balthazar (USA), Pedro The Lion (USA) and Random Number (UK) Read more on Last.fm.
