Though Bobby Burg has plenty to keep him occupied between playing in Make Believe and Joan of Arc and managing his own label, 'Record Label', he still finds ample time for his longest standing band to date, Love of Everything. Superior Mold and Die marks either the 3rd or 4th album since LOE's formation in 2000 depending on if you count the numerous splits and EPs released over the past 5 years. Burg's latest effort is a seamless mix of original acoustic folk songs and his signature looped and layered pop soundscapes. Love of Everything's formula of raw grown-up lyrics with childlike toy keyboard and nursery rhyme rhythms remains intact and this collection of songs works hard to develop the experimental themes presented in past releases. Fans will recognize many of these songs from his unforgettable live solo shows where he builds a wall of sound with simple instruments and a looping pedal until he finally starts singing, hushing audiences with the initial surprise of words after the lengthy process of creating the sound of a full band.
