Established in 2012 in the heart of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the band is comprised of guitarist/vocalist Tommy Shears, drummer Chris Morales, and bassist Alex Thornburg. Their debut single, Our American Cousin, was released in June 2013, preceded by a week of performances in Los Angeles and followed by a string of dates opening for Mayer Hawthorne, The Vaccines, Hanni El Khatib and Best Coast. 2013 was capped off with TLS headlining the WSUM Stage of Madison, Wisconsin's annual Halloween blitzkrieg, Freak Fest.
