The Light Iris was a post-hardcore band from San Francisco, California, United States. The Light Iris has struggled but found a loyal following among fans of the post-hardcore and metalcore genre. The band formed late 2009 and took their name from a framed picture hanging in the restroom of their practice space. Still being a relatively young band, the group has already played countless shows up and down the west coast sharing the stage with national bands and local acts as well. Featuring vocalist Andy Chen, guitarists Edward Orellana and Dennis Leveron, bassist Brandon Vasquez, and drummer Alesandro Sauseda. The 5-piece first recorded their EP in April 2011. Cities Built On Ruins Of Regret EP was self released in June 2011. The 8 track CD includes special guest vocals by Aaron Pauley (Of Mice & Men, ex-Jamie's Elsewhere) along with exclusive dubstep remixes by international EDM producers. The follow up full length, The Damaged And The Saved is a 11 song album featuring artists like Garret Rapp (The Color Morale) and Ricky Armellino (This or the Apocalypse) and was recorded by Zack Ohren at Castle Ultimate studios.
