In September 2006, Marty talked to Brett and Emo Ben about starting yet another band back home in Topeka. Then they asked Jeff to join. They had two rehearsals with Emo Ben. He left the band and the three remaining members wrote as a three-piece until about Thanksgiving. Marty had a conversation with Phil and Phil joined the band.
