With so many bands making a living off playing disposable, mediocre pop music the listener forgets minutes after hearing it, why would anyone want to go out of their way and labor over writing something memorable? For the members of the International Drive there really isn't much of a choice. The band excels at crafting witty, hook intensive melody-driven pop punk without much regard to what other bands might be writing or playing. Though the road to releasing this EP may have been an arduous one, Finish What You Started is a monument to what it means to pour your soul into something and have the end result turn out exactly as it should; the sum of the ingredients that went into making it. Relentlessly upbeat and irresistibly catchy, Finish What You Started is guaranteed to bury it's hooks and melodies deep in your mind where it will leak through your lips and fingers and toes for weeks on end. Recommended if you like: flawless pop music with rock sensibilities.
