There are two bands going by this name: 1) - The Fifth hails from Fayetteville, North Carolina, starting in 2001. North Carolina, USA based rockers The Fifth consisting of frontman Roy Cathey (Cold Sweat), guitarist Justin Womble, bassist Jake Tripp and drummer Gary “Zeus” Smith have announced a number of dates throughout the United States of America for their Calm Before The Storm Tour. The Fifth's music has been featured on a promo for Grey's Anatomy season 5 Episode 9 "In The Midnight Hour", as well as 2 separate Dodge Ram commercials. The Fifth are also the first band signed to world renowned singer Ron Keel’s brand new label RFK Media, for whom they’ll begin work on a new full-length album in 2022. Their self-titled EP, 'The Fifth',is currently out on Weapon Records / Vanity Music Group. They released a new studio album We Are On on May 2, 2025. 2) - The Fifth was a band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada in the late 1960s. The original members were Richard Gwizdak on bass, Melvyn Ksionzek on guitar, Jimmy Grabowski on guitar (and later, organ), Barry Zdbiak on drums, with Ron Schmidt as their vocalist.
