The Dark Wave is a contemporary post-punk / new wave band from Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Formed in 2019 by guitarist Erwin van der Zee, they mainly made adaptations of classic post-punk songs from the 1970s and 1980s, but by 2023 they were working on their own material. All members of The Dark Wave have been active in other bands before, many of them since the 1980s. They are veterans on the Dutch live scene.
