Following the critically acclaimed debut album 'A Trivial Pursuit', The Brights return with Full Colour Sound. The follow up retains the immediacy of the Postcard inspired sound that earned a host of accolades for NOT sounding like every other indie band and expands on this foundation by exploring west coast influenced harmonies and arrangements.
Recorded over the Spring of 2012 in rural Essex, the band collaborate once more with producer Fraser Smith (Shed 7, Ian Brown), adding textures reminiscent of The Byrds, Shack and Teenage Fanclub, among others. Full Colour Sound is released on Lemonpop Records in the UK and Rimeout Recordings in Japan.
Having already received coverage and support from corners of BBC Radio 2, 6 Music, XFM, BBC London and Sky Sports, the band now look to build their profile further.
Debut single 'Footsteps' from early 2011 caught the attention of XFM's John Kennedy, whilst the 2nd single, 'A Cameo Can't Last Forever' taken from the debut album, earned the band a Live In Session with Janice Long on BBC Radio 2 (24 March 2011). Support from Radio 2's night owl Alex Lester soon followed as did plays from 6 Music's Chris Hawkins, BBC London's Gary Crowley and another Live in Session on the Jo Good show (BBC London).
Chris Hawkins' London club night - Wagon, served as the album launch party on 4 June 2011 and at that time, single 'London Belongs To Me' was featured on The Football Highlights show for Sky Sports. This 3rd single, taken from the debut album, also featured on radio compilation Euro Xclusive 11, amongst the likes of Miles Kane, Elbow and Adele.
A 4/5 star Record Collector review followed, as did other positive reports in both the print and digital media, notably: Music-news.com and Sport Magazine. Read more on Last.fm.
