Team Metlay is possibly the Internet's first supergroup, or maybe hypergroup. Initially formed in 1990 over the rec.music.synth newsgroup, it was an experiment in getting a number of people with similar music tastes who liked each other into the same room with a pile of synths - and recording the results: the "Bandwidth" CD. In 1992 and 1994, the Team met again to produce the sprawling double CD "Ballistic", and met a final time in to record a live show at the Fiske Planetarium in 1999, released as "Beneath Stars". <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/Team+Metlay">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
