Swimming Trunks was the Springfield MO based solo project of Mason Mercer. In Summer 2010 Mercer released his first EP (split with Bwedge). Swimming Trunks & Bwedge toured the East Coast in Summer 2010 in support of the release of their split EP. In fall of 2010 Mercer released a new instrumental EP entitled "S T E P." In April 2011, Mercer announced during a live set that he was quitting Swimming Trunks. Mercer went on one final tour across the South. Swimming Trunks released his final EP-Finale-on July 1 2011.
