Stereopath is a London-based, Portuguese-born producer. With the crossover of dub, techno and dubstep, stereopath sounds takes us to a spatial journey across the universe onboard of your own auditory channel. In the late 90s, as Ruido, Stereopath starts DJing Drum & Bass, considered to be at the time as the new alternative electronic sound, in his hometown of Porto (Portugal). He then joined forces with DJ Oder, currently one of the best Portuguese DNB DJs and producers, to form HipDrumBeat. HipDrumBeat was then one of the most cutting-edge Djing projects in Portugal. The project consisted of two DJs playing simultaneously, aided by four decks, mixing various genres, from hip-hop and drumnbass to funk and soul, thus creating a new and exciting blend of sounds. Ruido and DJ Oder then played alongside big names of the European electronic scene, names such as Rate, Andy Smith, LTJ Bukem and many others. HipDrumBeat had quite an impact at the time producing catchy remixes and causing a big stir in Portos clubbing scene. In 2004, Stereopath moves to London . He also starts to build up his own production studio where he is currently producing most of his and other new coming artistss material. At the beginning of 2009, as Ruido, he signs his first contract with VIM Records, an independent Greek label. The result is the launch of his first EP titled Thinkers EP. The EP receives praise and good critical reviews from the Break Beat scene, reaching n.50 in Juno Digital Charts. At the end of 2009, Ruido and 1Way (his now partner in crime and colleague producer) join forces and produce a live-soundtrack for the pop-catholic play A Broken Part by Pedro Antunes, at the Peoples Camden Theatre. The play receives praise as being innovative where the sound plays an important role. Following the success of his first EP, Ruido has already booked several releases up until the middle of 2010 with other independent labels such as Erase Records, Scarcity Records and Badmood Records. Beginning of 2010 Ruido and 1way decide to form a business dedicated to post-production (Alma Sonic solutions).
