This is pure and unadulterated 90′s metal/noise rock awesomeness from one of the most exciting bands to come out of Greece these days… If Killing Joke, Godflesh, Prong, Helmet, are bands that turn you on look no further. These guys deliver with precision, killer riffs and a massive sound. The production of their first album is very good and has been done with the band’s longtime friend George Briggos, known for producing a lot of killer greek albums of the 00′s (Straighthate “Indigenous”, Inveracity “Extermination Of Millions”, Sun Of Nothing “In The Weak And The Wounded”, Kvazar “Flatlined”, etc). What’s really cool though is that they have their own touch. A lot of chords and trance-inducing beats refer to local traditional music (especially the legacy of greek tribes living until a century ago by the Black Sea), but that’s not something evident to listeners abroad. This might well be one of the reasons that “Neolithic” sounds so fresh and familiar. Finally, if you can’t get over with the fact that one of the heaviest albums produced in Greece in the 00′s, Homo Iratus’ “Fall Of The Locust”, has remained unreleased following the band’s collapse at that time, know that Stereo Animal is the new band of both guitarist Alex and drummer Bill. <a href="https://www.last.fm/music/STEREO+ANIMAL">Read more on Last.fm</a>.
