Biography

Spontaneo started as the brainchild of four college students in the fall of 2007. Dave, Mike, Eric, and Diego figured that with all the time they were spending not studying, they might as well write a few songs. What came later was a brand of heavily driven, and brutally honest pop that is both nostalgic, and fresh at the same time. Spontaneo has recently finished tracking for their first full-length "For Those Who Can Whistle". Tracks will be up shortly, see keep an ear out! <a href="https://ww...Read more on Last.fm

Alternative Press Magazine names Spontaneo one of their "Unsigned Bands Of The Month"!!!! Here's the scoop... Coming together during the fall of 2007, pop-punk unit Spontaneo looked to the past for inspiration - and we mean further into the past than ...Blink-182. "Every one of our songs is about something deep disguised as pop," says frontman Diego Byrnes. "It comes a lot from '50s songs like 'Leader of the Pack', which is a sad song in a bubblegum package." The band recently completed their debut full-length with Punchline's Steve Soboslai, and they've just started gigging along Holiday Parade and the Morning Of. If you catch Spontaneo live, however, Byrnes says to be prepared. "If you hear any of our songs twice in a row, you'll catch yourself humming the melody for at least a couple of days. Read more on Last.fm.
