there are multiple artists called Spinach.
1) An early 70's collaboration between Italian producer/ song writer/ future synth and disco pioneer, Girogio Moroder and German stat Micjael Holm. Their single "America-America" b/w "Rhythm of Love" (1970) sold over 400, 000 copies in Japan alone. Several picture sleeves were issued in several countries. In 1973 an LP was issued in Japan and is currently available on CD and digital download as "Spinach 1".
2)Spinach is an unsigned band from Sweden. The core is JK Knox and Tord 'Tod the Rod' Johansson. JK Knox sings, plays guitars and keyboard. Tord plays guitars, bass, keyboard and sings background. On drums Spinach usually have Bo Peter, a fantastic lead drummer.
All three have a background as members in various bands but discovered that when they recorded together magic happened.
It all started in the mid 90's when JK Knox, at the time songwriter and guitarist in the hard rocking Cosmic Zoo, and Tord, industrial and rock riffin' programmer/guitarist, decided to write together.
What came out of the sessions were beautiful pop songs with experimental guitars.
Pictures and a website will be available soon. Read more on Last.fm. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
