There are many bands / artists that go by the name Southbound. Several are mentioned below. 1.) A Mid-70's North Carolina Band featuring Lou Reid (banjo), Jimmy Haley (guitar, vocal), Dennis Severt (mandolin, vocal), Louis Pyrtle (banjo, fiddle) and Doug Campbell (bass, vocal) . I sometimes played fiddle in the band. Doyle Lawson produced that recording on Rebel Records. A second project was recorded by Southbound, but never released. 2.) Southbound is a Hiphop duo consisting of twin brothers, Sandman and Lowkey, hailing from Austin,Texas. 3.)
