Sononox has been involved in the bleeding edge music scene since 1992 when he co-founded the lo-fi, low tech, experimental noise ensemble STOR. After a five year run, highlighted by extreme experimentation and no recognition, STOR went on extended hiatus. From the late 90s into the early 00s, Sononox continued to release experimental / harsh noise output under various aliases. Following a break in activities, Sononox returned to recording in 2005 and in June 2007 he released his first album under the current project name, Sononox : Dominion Vs. Domination. This release marks something of a shift away from the eclectic, genre-jumping, output of his past to focus exclusively on harsh noise and dark ambient. Dominion Vs.
