Ralph Ritter III- Guitar/Vocals Scott Minner- Lead Guitar/Vocals Tyler Anselm- Guitar Eric Povish- Drums Kyle Simmons- Bass Small Towns Big Cities was formed in the early days of the summer of 2007 by Ralph Ritter, Eric Povish. The two had come from their own history of local bands and wanted to take what they had learned from each and apply them into one new band with the intention of changing the way people heard and perceived music. Along with guitar player Tyler Anselm, bassist Kyle Simmons, the newly formed band quietly released the freshmen debut entitled, “Our City, The Murder Town”. Trying not to sound like some of their contemporaries, the band decided to focus their song writing into trying to deliver every day messages that would open the eyes of the listener to the world around them. Songs that dealt with love and loss as well as songs that really focused on the rising crime and violence in their home of Philadelphia. Flash forward a few years and you can find the band currently writing new material for their upcoming full length, “The Air We Breathe”. To help fulfill the new sound the band brought in long time friend Scott Minner on third guitar. The new songs represent a new chapter in the Small Towns Big Cities history. Be on the look out for what Small Towns Big Cities has to offer. Many are still curious as to what this band has to offer, and this band is ready to show the world what they are all about. www.myspace.com/smalltownsbigcities Read more on Last.fm.
