Biography

SiIvaGunner is a semi-anonymous musical collective founded by 'Chaze the Chat' in January 2016 as a parody of GilvaSunner, itself a tribute to the defunct SilvaGunner YouTube channel from 2008. SiIvaGunner specializes in bait-and-switch YouTube videos that appear to be "high quality rips" of video game music but instead deliver remixes, parodies, mashups, and meme-filled surprises, unlike GilvaSunner and SilvaGunner, which uploaded actual rips of video game music. <a href="https://www.last.fm/mu...Read more on Last.fm

Originally launched as "GiIvaSunner" (a visual pun using a capital 'I' instead of an 'l'), the channel was deleted in April 2016 for "deceptive" content, despite approval from the original GilvaSunner creator, 'TimmyTurnersDad'. It was quickly revived as "SiIvaGunner", continuing the same format with an expanding team of creators. The project gained massive popularity, eventually surpassing it's inspirations and attracting attention from prominent online creators. Until February 13, 2022, all SiIvaGunner albums on Bandcamp were credited to GilvaSunner, which also appears in many Last.fm track listings. On April 15, 2024, the official SiIvaGunner Bandcamp was terminated, likely due to copyright issues, making pre-April 2024 albums available only via a public Google Drive. A backup Bandcamp account was created on November 18, 2024, hosting all releases from that point forward. Read more on Last.fm.
