Based in Sterling Heights, MI, the indie pop duo Shoestrings comprised singer/multi-instrumentalist Mario Suau and singer/keyboardist Rose Uytuico. Their debut album, the lovely Wishing on Planes, appeared on the Le Grand Magistery label in 1997.
