Selahdore is a Hertford based alternative/progressive/funk/melodic rock band. They live to write music that is real, tells a story, and gets your feet tapping... In the summer of 2007, Ross was asked to throw together a band for an event in Hertford, known as "Hertfest". He called on Mike & Sara and an emergency band was formed: "Proof of Life". Proof of life played a few more covers gigs, frequenting Number 11 Bar in Hertford, and began to explore writing their own material. In easter of 2008, it was noted that Proof of Life was changing, beginning to express themselves with original music. To signify the new era, shed their party band label and start fresh, Proof of Life became "Selahdore". Although Selahdore, based in Hertford, have played only a few gigs in the last year, they have worked hard at writing new material and are finally beginning to be the band they've also wanted to be.
