Sardonik Grin is a Sound Skulpture/ Noise/Ritual Ambient project of TranzMedia Aktionist, Llewyn Máire (kAbbage23, Try My Cabbage, gyrl grip) formed in 1998 Sardonik Grin is the manifestation ov one PostWyrld insurrectionist fueled by a passion for our species and a desire to awaken contemporary humans to the situations around us, to break through the spectacle and usher in a new age of self-empowerment. The Grin invokes sonic disobedience through the surrealist mutations of cut-ups, various experimental instrumentations, voice/tone, & sample-based loops... Text-mutations, illbient beatz, analogue freqz, post-asiatic manifestations, field/ found and ritual recordings are manipulated through tape dex, samplers,and CD mixing, reel2real audio tape scratching, random interface with radio and SW transmissions, and FX processing Llewyn Máire has been mixing a host of self-produced and appropriated/remixed media (Disc/ Tape/ Samples) with live electrics (synth-loop-vox) and found made instruments since the late 80’s.
