Robert Nasty is one of Maryland's best up and coming sample based artists. Releasing music under countless monikers, Sandpaperdemon has always been one of the standout and most known projects. Robert Nasty in this form is known for creating exciting new ways of recycling those old funk drum breaks and loops you've heard for the last 20 years. A prolific slacker, Sandpaperdemon's releases are sporadic, but are well worth the wait. In 2005, Sandpaperdemon released an EP entitled Dance Party on his own and it was a well kept secret among his fans. For its 2006 Beardology Records re-release, it has been extended to full length, also indluding two remixes by The Main Offender. Sandpaperdemon is now currently active in the electro experimental band Craq Rooster. Other works have been released under the alias Roostex.
