Reggae band Roots Syndicate recorded their only hit "Mockin' Bird Hill" as a tune to a Dutch television commercial. The first version was already recorded in 1951, but producer Jaap Eggermont acknowledged the song's hit potential - even forty-plus years after of its initial recording. The commercial for which "Mockin' Bird Hill" was recorded, known by the title "Hedgehog", is one of the most popular commercials issued by Centraal Beheer Achmea. It features a rastafari painting a white line on a mountain road with his three-wheeled vehicle. When the rastaman tries to avoid a hedgehog passing on the road, the line suddenly becomes oddly curved. Softdrink Sisi issued a similar themed commercial around the same time, featuring a rastafari man who accidently pushes over a van. The music in this commercial is a version of the evergreen "Sisi Rider". Read more on Last.fm.
