Roland Bracht has been a member of the Stuttgart Opera since 1973, appearing there in more than forty rôles, including those of Sarastro, King Heinrich, Hunding, Gurnemanz, Sparafucile, Fiesco, Publio in La clemenza di Tito and Kothner in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg. He undertook various rôles in King Arthur, and appeared as the Priest in Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District, the King in Love for Three Oranges, Stefano Colonna in concert performances of Rienzi and the Hermit in Der Freischütz...Read more on Last.fm

He undertook various rôles in King Arthur, and appeared as the Priest in Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District, the King in Love for Three Oranges, Stefano Colonna in concert performances of Rienzi and the Hermit in Der Freischütz, as well as Hagen in Götterdämmerung, Philip II in Don Carlo, Rocco in Fidelio, Oroveso in Norma, as Osmin, as Lodovico in Otello, Colline in La Bohème, the Commendatore in Don Giovanni, Basilio in Il barbiere di Siviglia and Baculus in Der Wildschütz. In 1985 he was given the title Kammersänger of the Stuttgart State Opera. He has appeared at the major opera-houses of Germany, as well as of Brussels, Rome, Barcelona, San Francisco, Japan, at La Scala and the Met and in the Munich and Salzburg Festivals.
